They did everything in their power to get me back on the road the same day. I highly recommend them for their ability to quickly and accurately diagnose/service my Jeep GCL and also for their customer service. They kept me appraised of the status of the repairs throughout the whole process. I can't say enough about them. Thank you to the whole team.”
“I would definitely recommend Johnny's over anywhere else I've been in Lake City. Although they didnt do a ton of work on the car itself, I had a bad computer and they sent it off to a third party. That is where the 4 stars come in, the third party was horrible and took forever. Once the computer came back they installed it and ran a diagnostic, ultimately also replacing a fuse, and that part was a much quicker turnaround time.
Also, I've rented a U-Haul here and that experience I would give 5 stars.”

“I had an alternator problem on my way from Tallahassee to Virginia in which anyone who knows is a bad situation. Not only was the outcome cheaper than first quoted I was put back on the road a lot sooner than I anticipated. (Saved me on getting a room)
Furthermore, the waiting area has comfortable couches to chill and Michelle even gave me her last soda. Mechanic (forgot his name) was straight up.

“We spent from 9am - 5pm on the side of the road from our bearing blowing out and almost causing our front right wheel to entirely come off (at 70 mph on a 3 line highway). Had an incredibly frustrating day trying to deal with Uhaul. No food, no water etc for the day. We arrived with a 15 footer, on a tow truck and were having a moving company coming to switch out our load at 6:30pm. Did I say there was an imminent tornado at 7pm. Tara, the super woman (did I say amazing human being) realized the problems with heavy rains, darkness and moving from one truck to another. She switched out our truck to a 26 footer with the blessings of the owner. They ate the cost - she just couldn't condone what was about to happen, given what we'd been through. We backed the trucks up to each other and Prime Residential Movers (who were very professional) were able to get the work done with very minimal rain issues. Did I say it was after hours? If Tara is any indication of Johnny's Auto - I would give them my first born, let alone my business. THESE are the kind of people that inspire me!”

“If it was possible, I would give them a 10 star rating! We were trying to get back home for Christmas, our rv blew a spark plug on I-75 at night. We were able to make it to a Marathon station and stay in their parking lot until morning. We asked a county sheriff about Johnny's and he said that they were very good. The tow truck driver also said they were good people. We called and Johnny's got us right in. Really cared about helping us get home for Christmas!! They diagnosed the problem, ordered a part and had to plug the hole for the spark plug. We were back on our way in 3 hours! It is nice to find people who are known for their quality of service, honesty and work ethics. I wish we had a Johnny's near us. I highly recommend them for their work quality and integrity. Thank you so much!”

We were stranded on the side of the interstate for 3 hours and got towed to Johnny’s after hours where he was able to take a look at our car and was able to get us home that night! “I had been to Lake City Auto Care once before and the service was professional and the price was fair, so I took my Jaguar in for service there again. Again, I was very satisfied. They provided a free inspection report with photos of things that looked like they needed attention. I was grateful for that and will be going back to discuss these other issues. We were traveling on I-75 to Florida and the air conditioner went out in 90+ degree weather. Found them on the internet and called. We were spending the night in Lake City but not arriving till late. “While traveling to Tallahassee Florida on I-10 our truck broke down. We were towed to Johnny's Auto Repair shop and WOW what customer service. The receptionist explained the process of assuring the fastest repair time that they can possible give for travelers. Our truck was repaired within 2hours and we were back on the road. While sitting in the lobby I watch the receptionist arrange a ride to the store for another set of travelers in the lobby. One of the mechanics gladly stopped what he was doing and took the lady to the store to get something to eat.
As I am submitting this review my husband just received a call from Johnny's Auto Repair. The reception... No “The Guest Service coordinator” (my new title for her) called to see if we reach our destination safely and if we had any other issue with our vehicle..

Johnny’s was not going to be open 15 more minutes when I literally rolled in as the car died. They analyzed the problem, stayed open late and fixed my car within an hour and a half! “Dropped off my car to have extensive upgrades done. The job required Johnny's to break my engine down to almost the basic engine block, remove the cooling system, remove the front bumper, driveshaft, transmission, exhaust, clutch, flywheel, re-tune the car and on and on. A huge undertaking. I got my car back ahead of time and was very impressed with the attention to detail from Aram. I have shown my car several times since and I've seen other setups similar to my supercharger that look thrown together. Johnny's routing of the electrical lines, hoses and even hose clamps are aligned and facing the same way, shows someone cared! I would, have and will continue to recommend Johnny's”

“I broke down on highway 10 and it was about 7:00 in the morning when the tow truck dropped me off at Johnny's. I met the manager as he was walking in the door that morning and told him about my problem that said they was super slammed so I just knew I would be there for a few days. But that wasn't the case they immediately got to work on my car and one of the mechanics actually showed us around town and took us to a mall while we waited and after basically rebuilding my motor I was out the door at 3:00 and still on my way to the bottom of Florida thanks so much guys the car runs better then when I bought it.”

“This place was so helpful. In December I was visiting Florida and had an issue arise with my vehicle as I was driving the interstate. I was towed to Johnys and from that moment on this team of mechanics and employees worked diligently and proficiently to figure the problem. Once they did, they took the time to show me the problem and explain it in great detail. They even gave me and my daughter a ride to a restaurant to get something to eat as we waited. Unfortunately they were unable to complete the work on my vehicle because the parts were on back order and I had to get back home immediately so I towed my car home. The team even helped get my vehicle loaded on the carrier to get it home. The customer service here was above the standard and I believe the work I would have received would have been high quality as well. Thank you”
“I don’t even know where to begin about how GREAT Aram and Greg are. I’ll spare the long story, but basically, these guys were honest and waaayy beyond helpful. They went above and beyond by giving my wife a ride to work after dropping the car off. They also saved me about $400 after a different shop misdiagnosed the bearing noise I was hearing. They properly identified the problem, they quickly found what needed to be done, and they did it right the first time. They were the third shop I called and they had the best price on labor, and they told me to bring it in right away. Other shops told me to check back Friday. We are new to Lake City and had already heard how great this shop was. As long as we’re in Lake City, this will be our shop. Thank you sooo much guys!!”

Traveling to Ocala from mid Georgia when we had to pull off the interstate- Johnny's was recommended by NAPA as the go to guys, even at the end of the work day. Rushed over after a call to Gregg, who assured us to come by and the mechanics would take a look. Not only did Dennis take a look, but was welcoming, assuring, and friendly. He not only diagnosed, got the part ordered, (owner left to picked it up,) and repaired our van , during their "after hours". “My Subaru's protective plastic shield under the car came loose on I-75 on our way home to Ohio. We found Johnny's on Google. After calling to verify they would have time, we took it to their shop. “Great operation. In one of those dreaded scenarios all travelers fear, of having a breakdown on an Interstate far from home, it finally happened to me. The flat bed driver (also a great guy) took my van here. Due to being right before closing time, and the nature of my breakdown, being a transmission, I rented another van, and continued my trip, and never returned. They were very thorough in their diagnosis, and offered me several options. All their recondmendations were fairly priced. They didn't charge me for the month that my vehicle sat there, before I made the "executive decision" to just sell it to a salvage yard. I noted they had many very nice classic cars in for service too. That's really all you need to know about any garage. Nice people.”

Today I came to Johnny's expecting to be told I needed a new transmission for our F350. Johnny's found out that when I had the transmission cooler replace at another shop they didn't plug in the transmission cooler fan. That was why I was having problems with my truck If I had ended up at Ford, they would have tried to sell a new transmission, Johnny's just plugged in the fan and filled our fluids. When we finally made it to johnny’s in the tow truck, they did nothing but take care of us. Broke down late night on a Sunday after some transmission issues with my 2003 Dodge Ram during a move. The next morning after trying different shops who wouldn't even touch my Truck, the driver suggested these guys. Brought the truck in, explained my situation. Greg assured me they would give it an honest look, but also let me know to keep in mind the worst case scenario. Within an hour he promptly came back, and told me you need a transmission. Greg laid out my options, and we shopped for a new one right there on the spot. He got on the phone with his vendors to get me the best value, with a warranty that he could. They started work on my truck when they received the transmission Tuesday, it was available for me to pick up Friday morning! When I arrived they showed me pictures of what they found during the service. My truck now runs like it was brand new. If your a local, you've got a gem, not enough shops that will work for you the way these guys do!”

“When my son and his buddies broke down in Lakeland on a Sunday they tried to do repairs on their own. While they were repairing I was looking for a shop on my end looking on the internet reading reviews. The repairs were more than they could handle so I called Johnnies. He gave the name for a tow and said he would be in Monday morning and take a look. After diagnosing the problem he was able to get the part quickly and had the boys on their way. Since the boys needed a pickup from their hotel an employee went and picked them up. With me being in Illinois the receptionist called me also to say work was complete and the boys were on their way. “In one of those dreaded scenarios all fear, of having a breakdown on an Interstate far from home, it finally happened. The flat bed driver (also a great guy) took my van here. Due to being right before closing time, and the nature of my breakdown, being a transmission, I rented another van, and continued by trip. They were very thorough in their diagnosis, and offered me several options. All their recondmendations were fairly priced. They didn't charge me for the month that my vehicle sat there, before I made the "executive decision" to instead sell it to a salvage yard. I noted they had many very nice classic cars in for service too. That's really all you need to know about any garage. Nice people.”

“I am pleased to offer my view of Johnny's Auto Repair. I went to Johnny's after a very bad experience with another repair shop here in Lake City Fla. The people that had worked on my car really made a mess out of the work and left the car in a dangerous to drive state. There was damage to the car, that no one even bothered to tell me about. Also work that was paid for was not done. At this point I called Johnny's. I was offered a friendly greeting by the lady working in the office. My questions were answered and I decided to have Johnny's work on my car. The work I needed was not just part's replacement. It required planning, as well as coming up with some good ideas to effect repairs. The work was done on time and at a reasonable cost. At every stage of the work I was kept informed. Johnny and his team really did an excellent job. I and my car were treated with great respect. Since my first experience with Johnny', I have gone back and had additional work done. Again I am very pleased, and in the future plan to continue to have my auto repairs done at Johnny's. Oh by the way, my car is a 1923 Ford model T. As you can’t just run out and buy parts, in this case Johnny and his crew made parts for the car. It look and works really well, I am very pleased and highly recommend Johnny’s.”

“Earlier this year my daughter was traveling from home back to FSU and decided to stop for a bite to eat. When leaving, she started up her car and a huge cloud of smoke came from the tail pipe and she thought she saw oil leaking from under the car. This was at about 4:30 on a Saturday, so I was concerned whether or not I could find someone to help her. Johnny's Auto Repair was the only place where someone actually answered the phone. The gentleman explained that the shop was closed and that the number I had called was for emergencies only. I explained that my nineteen-year-old daughter was away from home, alone, and possibly stranded and that felt like an emergency to me. He sighed, then chuckled, and then said he would drive over to check it out. He assessed the situation and determined that the car was not leaking oil and that she should be able to make it back to Tallahassee with no problem, but to reassure her, he left his name and number and told her to call him if the car began acting up again. He then called to reassure me. I offered to pay him for his time on a Saturday evening, but he declined. If you are ever in the Lake City area and need help with your automobile, I recommend Johnny's Auto Repair. How refreshing it is to do business with someone who is genuine and caring!”
“On February 27, 2016 my GMC Envoy threw its serpentine belt on I-75 just North of Lake City. I called Johnny's and he listened as I described the destroyed belt and the circumstances and gave me an option for towing.
After a delay in getting a tow truck due to poor customer service by AARP Roadside Service I called back and said that I would probably arrive right at closing time, 2:00pm on this Saturday and was told that they would hang around the shop and wait for me.
Upon arrival a quick diagnosis was made that the water pump seized up but that fortunately nothing else was destroyed. When I had called earlier they ordered up a new belt and a water pump projecting that that was the problem with my vehicle and the parts were at the shop when I arrived in the tow truck.
The new water pump was replaced in 35 minutes and I was back on the road 1 hour after arriving at the shop.

“I was attempting to prep my long stored MH for an upcoming Xcountry trip when it would not start! After some troubleshooting I determined my fuel pump was the issue. I made an appointment with a competitor and arranged to have the MH towed (expensive!) to that shop. When the unit was delivered I was informed that their equipment cannot handle a large Class A RV. They recommended Johnny's. At that point with the clock ticking on the towing we transported to Johnny's without prior arrangement. Johnny understood the issue and accepted the task. Even the tow driver recommended this shop. Johnny kept me informed through the whole repair process providing options and costs. This job requires removing the tank to get at the pump assembly. In less than I week the RV was again road worthy. I truly appreciate the shop's accepting the job and getting it done in a timely manner. I highly recommend Johnny's for any future MH work. He is also more reasonable than Camping World as well as being an honest small businessman.”
“While traveling in my RV from Tampa to NY; my RV broke down, and needed to be towed in. It was a Saturday, and the tow truck driver indicated that I might need to find a hotel as it was midday and most automotive places would be closed. He towed us to Johnny's, and they were just pulling down the overhead doors to close. Once the tow driver spoke with them, they opened up the bay and had us go into the waiting area. They got the part and had us up and running with in an hour! God Bless them! They were wonderful, and clearly understood my situation. I cannot give enough positive feedback for them and their service. The tow company was also awesome, but I cannot recall the name of the company. All I can say about them is that they too went way out of their way to take care of us and get us to a safe place and made us feel comfortable during this situation.”
“we broke down when a bolt fell out of our brake caliper on a brand new lexus on the interstate at 5pm on friday night. got a tow by 730 pm and they delivered us to johnny's auto repair. johnny's answered the phone when we called at 7pm and told us where to leave the car and that they would diagnose the issue next morning first thing and also said they would call us and pick us up when it was fixed if they could fix it. their hours are 8am on saturday. they called us at 830 am and said the car was ready and would come get us before 9am. they had to fabricate a new bolt and remove a screw in one of the tires and balance and only charged us 140 dollars. i liked them from the moment they answered the phone - they didn't seem bothered by the call and volunteered to pick us up after the repair without being asked. impossible to have been a better experience. so good, in fact, i'll be taking another car down for them to replace coil over shocks and other stuff on another lexus even though its a 350 mile one way trip. we'll make it a weekend trip.”

Having arrived safely, we attempted to go shopping the day after Christmas. The car wouldn't start and it appeared the battery terminal was cracked. “Broke down about 3 am sunday morn.picked us up in about 1/2 hr after being summond. Did not have room for all of us in tow truck. We rode in van on top of flatbed tow truck. Best ride on the whole trip , no lines and lasted much longer. Dropped us off at local motel on the way to his shop. Had one of his techs come in on sunday to inspect van. D.O.A. Very helpful recommending option for alternative transportation. Next morn, sunday, NOBODY open, had to spend another find evening in fair oaks. Next morning nobody had a truck and dolley in town. tried lake city, found a truck,dolley and car in lake city. Timing was everything. Had to get out of motel by 11, or pay another $ 100.00, meet car rental guy at 1 pm, meet truck rental guy at 2. Lake city is 1/2 hr away.Had to get the County Cab, the only County cab in town by the way, called lady with cab. She was booked from 1-4 o'clock and was shopping with her mom at wal-mart at the moment. It is 10:30.She said her mom liked shopping at wal-mart and she would check and see if she could just leave her at wal-mart. She can ,but we have to hurry.We had to leave my son and friend at the motel pool with all of our belongings. My wife and i go to lake city.get too the car place , say good bye to County Cab lady,she was very nice and interesting and she had to go get mom. The man at Enterprise suddenly wanted to charge us about $700.00 for the car rental. Said it included a $400.00 charge for getting the car back from Indiana. I said they have Enterprise in indiana. He said he owned his own cars and only do round trips. Decided not to do business with this company. County Cab was halfway back to live oaks to get her mom. So we decided to call Hertz, lady on 800 # said they had a truck and dolley, called local place for directions,man there informed us that he did not have a truck and dolley. Called lady back and told her what he said and she assured me they did.So we walk the 1.5 mi.trip to Hertz. As we approach the lot, a truck drives out ,with a truck and dolley.I noticed they had more trucks, and i told my wife ,i bet that's my dolley leaving right their. The guy came up to us and said, can i help you. And i said probably not, but that he could try. I told him the story and he said he had the truck but no dolley . Hmmm. Said he could get one from Gainesville by 4. All my stuff, son and friend are out by the pool waiting on us. I told them i would drive down their myself, 1 hr round trip. Asked about a car , and they gave us one for $ 99.00. Deal! No bullshit about a return charge or $ 300.00 for 1 day rental. Sent my wife to get stuff in live oaks and to get headed home. My son needed to be in school at 8:00 am in the morning and its about a 14 hr trip. I head to Gainesville, pick up dolley and head to live oaks to pick up the van. Then i head home. Everyone , except Enterprise, was very courteous and helpful. I real Griswald Experience. What an adventure. We arrived at indy at 7: 00 am”
